I just started it and I'm liking it, but I have a feeling that it's going to get pretty disturbing. I'm looking for general spoilers here---is it going to involve sexual abuse of children?
I sometimes wish Bookmarks included ratings of a different kind--PG, R, etc.!

Well, I couldn't write back because I was finishing the book! But I agree with Jon's assessment, though I didn't think he was right for much of the book.
Just another great book I never would have read if it weren't for Bookmarks.

How to explain without explaining
Hey there Jane,
There are hints/claims of sexual abuse ... but it's not the "heart" of the book by any stretch ... there's nothing lurid for the sake of being so. I think you could keep going; we'll see if other's opinions differ!
